Phyllis Taylor, AICP, is a principal with Sites Southwest, a planning and landscape architecture consulting firm with offices in Albuquerque and El Paso, Texas.  Her 35 years of experience includes redevelopment plans for municipalities throughout New Mexico. Revitalization of older neighborhoods and downtowns is a passion which Ms. Taylor follows in her professional life and as a volunteer. She is a past member of Albuquerque’s Landmarks and Urban Conservation Commission and a board member of STEPS.  She holds a BA from Rice University, an MA in Urban Affairs from Washington University, and an MBA from the University of New Mexico.

Board President – James Strozier, AICP, Principal – Consensus Planning

James Strozier, AICP, Principal, has over 24 years of public and private sector planning experience. Jim is registered with the American Institute of Certified Planners (#6432) and is a past President of the New Mexico Chapter of the American Planning Association.  He is a certified charrette manager, having completed the National Charrette Institute’s training courses. He is actively involved on the Board of Directors for the Southeast Team for Entrepreneurial Success (STEPS). Jim has a Bachelor of Urban Planning Degree from the University of Utah and a Master of Environmental Planning Degree from Arizona State University.

Richard is a 37 year old who has been in the financial industry since he was 18. He began his financial career at Citibank as a Credit Card Collector, this allowed him to be creative while working with customers who were in line to have their debt sent to an outside collection agency for further collection. After working at Citibank for 5 years he had an opportunity at Bank of America present itself. After 2 short years he became a Customer Service Team Manager. Bank of America allowed him to grow both professionally and personally. He later joined First Community Bank aiding customers with their internet banking questions and concerns. Currently, he holds the position of Treasury Management Coordinator at Southwest Capital Bank, this position allows him to work very closely with consumer and business customers to develop the exact banking relationship they desire.

George has over 10 years of non-profit management experience assisting small business owners and micro-entrepreneurs throughout New Mexico, building on more than 20 years of entrepreneurial activity of his own.  The mission of the New Mexico Community Development Loan Fund is to make business capital and skills coaching available to underserved entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations.  Prior to completing the Executive MBA Program at the University of New Mexico’s Anderson School of Management, he spent 16 years working in the Facilities group at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque.
